MEMPHIS, Tenn. — With four minutes left Wednesday and the Nuggets down by seven points, fans near Denver’s bench heckled a stoic Carmelo Anthony, who had been rattled similarly by the Grizzlies for much of the night.

Anthony just looked up to the crowd and smiled.

Click. Denver went on a 14-5 run to close out a 111-109 win, with Anthony scoring 10 of the points.

Kenyon Martin made the play of the night, a blocked shot of O.J. Mayo with 11 seconds left and Denver up one.

The win kept Denver (44-25) in first place in the Northwest Division and snapped the Nuggets’ six-game road losing streak.

Anthony finished with 35 points on 12-for-23 shooting, and guard Chauncey Billups hit numerous big shots in the fourth quarter, finishing with 18 points and 12 assists.

Anthony’s Baltimore buddy Rudy Gay had a stellar night, too, finishing with 30 points, while guard Mike Conley had 10 assists for Memphis.
