DENVER—Colorado’s Senate president is headed to Washington, D.C., where he plans to meet with President Barack Obama.
Sen. Peter Groff was invited by the National Council of State Legislatures to participate in meetings with other elected officials. The group plans to visit with the president and members of his cabinet on Friday.
Groff was an early supporter of Obama and attended his stimulus bill signing ceremony in Denver.
He’ll be gone Thursday and Friday and will return to the state Capitol next week.
