Getting your player ready...
Denver’s Low Income Energy Assistance Program has received 2,500 more applications this season compared with last year at this time.
The city has received 16,000 applications so far. Of those, nearly 2,700 customers already had their heat shut off or were on the brink of that, said Enrique Hernandez, LEAP supervisor.
The Denver LEAP office gets roughly 300 to 500 applications a week. To apply, call 866-HEAT-HELP (432-8435).
