GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department says an inmate accused of sexually assaulting a child was found dead in his cell.
Officials say 25-year old Antonio Delgadillo was found hanging during a routine security in the jail’s maximum security unit on Thursday. No other details have been released.
Delgadillo was being held on charges of sexual assault on a child, second-degree kidnapping, child abuse and contempt of court.
Officials say Delgadillo was not under suicide watch.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Tanny M. McGinnis says an autopsy report has not been completed.
