DENVER—Air Force center Jacques Lamoureux is among the 10 finalists for the 2009 Hobey Baker Award, honoring college hockey’s top player.
Lamoureux leads the nation with 31 goals, 15 power-play goals and eight game-winning goals.
The finalists also include four players from Hockey East schools: Matt Gilroy and Colin Wilson, both of Boston University; Viktor Stalberg of Vermont; and Brad Thiessen of Northeastern.
Other finalists are Louie Caporusso of Michigan; Chad Johnson of Alaska Fairbanks; Zane Kalemba of Princeton; Jamie McBain of Wisconsin; and David McIntyre of Colgate.
The 10 were selected by Division I hockey head coaches and by online fan balloting.
A selection committee and another round of fan balloting will determine the winner.
Three finalists will be announced April 2, with the winner announced April 10 during the NCAA Frozen Four.
