Gov. Bill Ritter has certified the third round of Colorado transportation projects that will be paid for with federal stimulus money.
The state is to receive about $400 million for highway and bridge projects and another $103 million for transit projects.
So far, Ritter has certified more than 80 road and transit projects valued at $415 million.
The latest round of approved projects — and the stimulus money set aside for each — includes:
Widening and other improvements to Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs, from Interstate 25 to Powers Boulevard; $35 million.
Replacing the deficient U.S. 24 eastbound bridge in El Paso County; $6 million.
I-25 reconstruction north of Crossroads in Larimer County; $6 million.
Bike lanes, streetscaping and sidewalks in Erie, Lyons and Nederland; $1.6 million.
Intersection improvements at I-25 and Colorado 60 in Johnstown; $500,000.
Intersection improvements at Colorado 257 and Garden Drive in Windsor; $500,000.
Transit improvements coving about 30 projects in El Paso County, Fort Collins, Loveland, Berthoud and Greeley; $24 million.
