An 8-year-old skier suffered multiple injuries this morning when she hit some trees off the Klondike trail at the Eldora Ski Resort.
The young girl from Scribner, Neb., was going down the trail, lost control and hit the trees, according to Sgt. Mike Linden of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
The impact injured her legs, pelvis and shoulder, and she also may have internal injuries, said Linden.
She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The girl was airlifted to Children’s Hospital, where she is currently being treated.
Linden said that because her condition is not known, her name is not being released at this time.
