Here is some of the funding available for Colorado energy programs from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:

—$80 million over three years for weatherization, including program expansion for low-income Coloradans and strengthening the network of service providers.

—$50 for the state energy program, which will help provide capital for energy projects and create an information system for homeowners and business owners who want to install renewable energy systems or become more energy efficient.

— Energy efficiency and conservation block grants for Colorado counties and cities. The exact funding is yet be determined.

—Tax credits for investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency. The U.S. Department of Energy will provide guidelines for credits for business and homeowners.

—Research and development grants. The DOE will provide guidelines for the competitive grants.

—Loan guarantees for electric transmission. The DOE will provide guidelines.
