BAGHDAD — A car bomb devastated an outdoor market in eastern Baghdad on Thursday, killing 26 people and wounding 37, police and medical sources said.
The attack in the predominantly Shiite Shaab district came about a week after Iraqi forces removed blast walls from the area based on the belief that security was improving.The blast was the third major attack in the capital in March.
