Win No. 1:
There are lacrosse programs popping up everywhere around the state, and on Tuesday one of those, Thompson Valley, earned its first victory. The Eagles (1-4) beat visiting Eaglecrest 6-5, with two goals each from Trevor Pearman and Dillan Lawrence.
Sailors unbeaten:
It was hard to find any games played Friday within the border, but in Grand Junction, Steamboat Springs’ boys lacrosse team improved to 5-0 with a 10-4 victory over Grand Junction’s co-op team, the Lightning.
No. 1 Mullen goes down:
The top-ranked Mullen Mustangs boys lacrosse team, fresh off a victory over Cherry Creek last week, dropped its first game to California’s St. Ignatius Prep, 16-7 on Friday.
