A pedestrian faked being hit by at an intersection, then stole the car when the driver got out early this morning, Colorado Springs police said.
The man was stopped at a red light at Airport Road and Pikes Peak Avenue just before 4 a.m., when the man walked up to his car, bumped into it and collapsed, police said.
When the driver got out, two other men came up from behind, and one of them hit the driver while the other pointed a pistol at him, police said.
All three jumped in the white 1994 Mistubishi Gallant (with Colorado temporary license plate number 126D3G) and sped away.
The carjackers were described as Hispanic males. Two were in their mid-20s, both about 170 pounds. No description was available for the third suspect.
