FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Larimer County district attorney has formed two new units to prosecute sex crimes, crimes against children and financial fraud.
A four-person team led by Chief Deputy District Attorney Michelle Brinegar will prosecute sex assault and crimes against children.
Deputy District Attorney Christopher Rossi is the sole member of the economic crimes unit.
District Attorney Larry Abrahamson said both units were formed to lighten the workload of other prosecutors and to develop better working relationships with local law enforcement officers.
Both units started work this month.
