Carl Vogel will step down as vice chairman of Dish Network Corp. and its subsidiaries, the company said Tuesday in a regulatory filing.
Vogel is also resigning from the board of directors of EchoStar Corp. and from his position as senior adviser of EchoStar and its subsidiaries. Vogel will remain as a senior adviser to Dish and its board.
Vogel was part of the team that launched the satellite-TV service in 1996.
