COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A 25-year-old Colorado Springs woman has been arrested on accusations that she shot a man in the face on March 23.
Colorado Springs police say they obtained an arrest warrant for Margo Eck, and Denver police located her Tuesday while conducting an unrelated investigation at a Denver hotel.
Colorado Springs police Lt. David Whitlock says Eck was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and has been taken to the El Paso County jail.
Police allege Eck shot 22-year-old Dillion Mohrbutter with a shotgun during a dispute at a Colorado Springs home.
Whitlock says the dispute was over a car but initial reports that Mohrbutter was trying to steal a vehicle were incorrect. He declined to elaborate.
Mohrbutter has since been released from the hospital.
