GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A driver who told police he’d been drinking and watching football before causing a fatal crash last October has pleaded guilty to four felony counts.

Twenty-six-year-old Brandon Walton of Grand Junction could face up to eight years in prison for killing 28-year-old Ashley Chapman and injuring three children in her car when he hit her Nissan with his Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Walton pleaded guilty Thursday to vehicular homicide and three counts of child abuse causing serious bodily injury, all felonies. Walton also pleaded guilty to driving drunk. He’ll be sentenced June 8.
