DENVER—The U.S. Secretary of Education is coming to Denver next week to talk about education reform.

Arne Duncan will visit Denver schools with Colorado’s new senator, Democrat Michael Bennet. Bennet was superintendent of Denver Public Schools until he was appointed to the Senate earlier this year.

Bennet confirmed the visit Wednesday but details weren’t immediately available.

Duncan is touring schools to talk up President Barack Obama’s reform plans and the stimulus money for education. The secretary was in a Maryland school Wednesday to promote the first round of stimulus dollars headed to states for education this week.
