Tyler Carron and Nikko Landeros visited the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs on Wednesday and were given a VIP tour by U.S. Paralympics. Carron, left, and Landeros are former Berthoud wrestlers who were victims of a horrific automobile accident in which both teenagers had their legs amputated. The two have drawn widespread attention for their courage — in 2007, just four months after the accident, Carron walked across the stage during the school’s graduation. And they remain interested in athletics. They were there Wednesday to find out more about the Paralympic sport of sled hockey.
