A driver was carjacked and stabbed in the face shortly after 2 p.m. today at 3158 W. Alameda Ave., according to Denver police.
The motorist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
He is in stable condition.
Jackson said the victim went to a store and told clerks he had just been carjacked. They called police.
The victim said the car he was driving did not belong to him, said Jackson.
Police said that the victim’s description of both the carjacker and the specifics of the event are vague.
