Centennial-based United Launch Alliance will lift an Air Force communications satellite into space tonight from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station if conditions permit.

The launch window is 6:31 p.m. to 7:33 p.m. MDT for the Wideband Global SATCOM-2 satellite, which will improve communications for field troops. Taking the satellite aloft will be an Atlas V rocket.

If the launch is scrubbed, the next attempt will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:32 p.m. MDT Saturday.
