LINCOLN, Neb.—Two Nebraska basketball players have announced plans to transfer to another school.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln announced Monday that sophomore Cookie Miller and redshirt freshman Alonzo Edwards both plan to transfer after contributing to the team’s 18-13 season.
Miller started 46 of his 60 games with Nebraska and averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Miller says he wants to find somewhere to play closer to his family in West Virginia.
Edwards played in 16 games this season and started one. He averaged 1.7 points and less than 1 rebound per game.
Edwards says he wants to be able to compete for more playing time.
Coach Doc Sadler says he wishes the best for Miller and Edwards.
