LAKEWOOD — A fire in an apartment complex Monday evening prompted the evacuation of 13 residents.
The West Metro Fire District responded to a call at 5:12 p.m. and successfully suppressed the fire at the 12-unit Chateau Verde apartments in the 13000 block of West Cedar Drive.
Six of the units sustained damage. Five of the damaged units were occupied at the time of the fire. Two staffers of the apartment complex suffered minor smoke inhalation. One resident was transported to a nearby hospital with smoke inhalation that was not considered life-threatening.
