ADAMS, Neb.—Longtime Freeman High School girls basketball coach Ken Cook has announced his retirement.
Cook has been the head girls coach at the school for the last 33 years.
Cook amassed 732 victories in a 43-year head coaching career at three schools. His girls teams won state championships in 1979, 1985, 1987, 2002 and 2003.
Cook said Monday he’s getting out of coaching because he doesn’t think he has the energy required for the job anymore.
