AURORA — The Chambers Library, slated to close because of budget cuts, is back in business — but just until the end of the year.
The City Council on Monday found an extra $30,000 to $38,000 in the budget to keep open the library on East Colfax Avenue and Chambers Road.
The library is in a strip mall, and the mall’s owner, Dwight Rider, has agreed to do away with $25,000 in rent plus about $2,500 in maintenance so the library can stay open.
