BOULDER, Colo.—Micro Motion Inc. says it is laying off 37 mostly salaried employees at its operations in Boulder as the economy declines.

Spokesman David Baldrich said Tuesday that the layoffs represent about 7 percent of the Boulder-based company’s work force.

Baldrich says the cuts come amid the declining economy and softening market for the company’s flow meters, which are used in the oil and gas, chemical, and food and beverage industries.
