Gov. Bill Ritter failed to meet Tuesday with officials of Sun Microsytems in what originally had been on the agenda for the economic- development mission by Colorado officials in California’s Silicon Valley.
Ritter spokesman Evan Dreyer said the meeting with Sun was canceled because of a “scheduling/logistics snafu.”
Ritter had said Monday that he hoped to discuss with Sun officials IBM’s reported $7 billion purchase bid for Sun and the effect it could have on Sun’s Colorado employment.
Talks between IBM and Sun broke down over the weekend.
