This Dexter Fowler kid is pretty good. The Rockies’ 23-year-old switch hitter started for the third time in six games in center field and belted his second home run. His solo shot off Chan Ho Park to lead off the Rockies’ second inning was Fowler’s first big-league homer from the left side. Fowler went 2-for-5, boosting his average to .385.

Perfect Lidge.

Phillies closer Brad Lidge, a Cherry Creek High School graduate, converted his second save of the season. In the ninth, he yielded a two-out pinch-hit single to Jeff Baker and walked Ian Stewart. But he killed the Rockies’ rally, getting Troy Tulowitzki to ground out to second to end the game. Last year, Lidge was a perfect 41-for-41 on saves in the regular season and 7-for-7 in postseason.

Rockie killer.

Philadelphia right fielder Jayson Werth came to Denver hitting .091 (1-for-11). He left with a .348 average after going 7-for-12 with two doubles, a triple, a homer and five RBIs in three games.
