BOULDER, Colo.—Two men have been taken to a Boulder hospital after an accident involving a power line and a ladder.
Boulder police say the two were painting a former fraternity house and had an aluminum ladder leaning against it when the ladder fell and made contact with a 7,650-volt power line at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday.
A 22-year-old man was holding the ladder with both hands and received an electrical jolt. A 25-year-old man was hurt when the falling ladder struck him.
Authorities say the two were taken to Boulder Community Hospital, but their names and conditions were not released.
The fraternity house had recently been purchased by private owners.
