ENGLEWOOD — The man whose body was found in a burned-out home was identified Tuesday as the operator of a prostitution ring who was to be sentenced on the day he died.
Firefighters found the body of Todd Allen Powell, 45, Monday at 3750 S. Cherokee St. The blaze had started about 1:45 a.m.
Powell, who pleaded guilty in January to running a prostitution operation, was to appear in Denver Court to be sentenced later in the day. As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Powell was to receive probation, said Lynn Kimbrough, a spokeswoman with the Denver district attorney’s office.
