ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot will be worth an estimated $31 million on Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.

The winning numbers Wednesday were 16, 22, 26, 27 and 59. The Powerball was 5 and the Power Play number was 2.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $25 million jackpot.

Two Power Play tickets sold in Montana and Pennsylvania matched the first five numbers only for $1 million each. Colorado’s top prize was $10,000 apiece for two tickets that matched the Powerball and four of the other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.

Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.

The game is now played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
