• Because of a reporting error, a story on Page 4B Thursday mischaracterized U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet’s statistical comparison of the U.S. health care system to those in other nations. Bennet did not tell The Denver Post editorial board that health care quality and coverage in Europe is superior to the U.S., nor did he mention Europe. In discussing the amount spent on health care in the U.S., Bennet said: “We are spending 16 percent of GDP on health care,” while “most other industrialized countries are spending somewhere around 7 or 8 percent of GDP. They are covering a broader group of their population and their mortality rates are, in general, lower than ours are.”
• Because of an editing error, the Best Bets column on Page 3D of today’s Entertainment section lists an incorrect date for the Final Friday event at the Denver Art Museum. The event takes place April 24.
• Because of reporting errors, a Page 1B story on March 22 about a foreclosure auction misstated the number of people laid off at Horizon Glass and the location of one of the company’s jobs. The company laid off a total of six people and did not work on Invesco Field at Mile High.
