Folk singer-songwriter Arlo Guthrie brought more than just his tried-and-true material to Boulder on Sunday. Photos by .

Arlo Guthrie came to the on Easter armed with his trademark banter and folk songwriting to the as part of his “Lost World Tour.” He connected with the crowd from the outset by blending songs old and new, including Guthrie standards “City of New Orleans” and “Coming into Los Angeles.” Guthrie, 61, has been performing since age 13, so in addition to his own songs, Guthrie reached back into the family songbook to draw on songs by folk forefather (and real father) Woody Guthrie.

“This Land is Your Land” was the most recognizable of those selections. Even this summer’s 40th Anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair in upstate New York rated a mention, though Guthrie did suggest his recollections may be a bit more “cloudy” than some others among his treasure chest of memories. — Mark Osler
