PUEBLO, Colo.—Another man has been convicted in the 2007 slaying of a Pueblo cab driver.

A jury deliberated for three hours Friday before finding 20-year-old Maximo Ramos guilty of first-degree murder in death of David Chance.

The 51-year-old Chance was found shot to death inside his idling taxi on Oct. 30, 2007.

Ramos was one of six people arrested in Chance’s slaying. Prosecutors allege 23-year-old Olin Ferrier shot Chance during a botched robbery. Ferrier was sentenced to life in prison without parole in February.

Twenty-five-year-old Matthew Koncilja and 18-year-old David Montoya pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against Ferrier and others in exchange for leniency.

Trial for another co-defendant, 17-year-old Raymond Terrones, is pending.
