Getting your player ready...
In preparing for a 4 1/2-day trip to Atlanta to face the Hawks in an Eastern Conference playoff series, the Miami Heat charter was loaded with luggage, uniforms, sneakers and tape. Party attire was optional, and highly discouraged. Ask any player which NBA cities are the most fun to visit, and Atlanta quickly comes up. And this week, it’s forbidden to Heat players. Not by decree of the coaches — but by captains Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem. “Basically, we’re going on a business trip,” Haslem said. “It’s not really a curfew, but we’ve got eyes everywhere.”
