Why drive?
Let someone else drive the 215 miles from Denver to Gunnison while you take in the scenery. A motorcoach starts at the Denver Bus Center, with stops at Denver’s Union Station, the Cold Spring park-n-Ride, Pine Junction, Grant, Jefferson, Fairplay, Buena Vista and Salida. Then passengers transfer to a van that takes them to Gunnison.

Alex Karpilow, a student from Boulder’s Molly Davis Fine Art Studio, won the top honor at the 2009 Junior Duck Stamp contest. Her luminous acrylic painting of two Canada geese, titled “Companhia,” will represent Colorado at the national competition in Washington, D.C., later this month. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hosts the competition.

Visiting Eagle? You won’t need your car. A free bicycle-sharing program will station bikes throughout town to help people running errands or taking a pleasure ride. Today, Eagle County residents who donate a used bicycle in good condition can get 10 percent off any purchase at The Kind Bikes and Skis or at Mountain Pedaler in Eagle.
