Mike McCoy hit a solo home run and Eric Young Jr. doubled and scored a run to lead the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to a 3-1 victory over the host Las Vegas 51s on Sunday in a Triple-A Pacific Coast League game.

The Colorado State women’s basketball team signed Erin Cooke, a 6-foot-2 forward from Billings, Mont. She played the past two seasons at Northwest College in Powell, Wyo., where she averaged 12 points and nearly nine rebounds in 57 games.
Buckeyes stop DU men’s lacrosse team.
The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team got a game-high four goals from James Green as the Buckeyes topped host Denver 16-10 in a Great Western Lacrosse League game at Peter Barton Stadium.
Denver (7-7, 1-3 league) led 3-1 in the first quarter before Ohio State (7-6, 3-1) scored five unanswered goals to take the lead for good. Andrew Lay and Mark Matthews led the Pioneers with two goals apiece.
Air Force men’s lacrosse wins third straight.
Griffin Nevitt tallied five points (three goals and two assists) to lead the Air Force men’s lacrosse team to a 13-6 win over visiting Detroit in a nonconference game.
Air Force (6-6) is on a three-game winning streak. Detroit ended its inaugural season at 0-11.
UNC baseball swept by UNLV.
Nevada-Las Vegas jumped to an 11-3 lead after two innings before beating visiting Northern Colorado 14-4. UNLV (20-18) earned a four-game series sweep of the Bears (9-25).
