Chicago Bears and former Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler was written up on the society pages last week after an Internet photo showed him enjoying an adult beverage at Chicago nightclub.
With the world knowing Cutler is a Type 1 diabetic, and reports saying diabetics shouldn’t drink alcohol, Bears general manager Jerry Angelo addressed his new quarterback’s nocturnal tendencies during his predraft news conference Tuesday.
“When we did our research, we know he goes out, we know he does those things,” Angelo told Chicago reporters. “We talked to our medical people, we talked to the Denver medical people. It comes with the territory. We’re comfortable with it.”
