EDWARDS — Someone broke into an Edwards elementary school and took eight laptop computers, two desktops, a camera and snacks.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Department says the break-in occurred between Friday and Monday.

Deputies say six vehicles were damaged nearby. They say the stolen goods and damage would cost about $16,000.

A janitor discovered evidence of the breakin on Monday.

Edwards is about 15 miles west of Vail and 80 miles west of Denver.
