Mark Helfrich, the University of Colorado football team’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, will interview for the offensive coordinator opening at Oregon next week, CU announced Tuesday night on its website.
He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Oregon in 1997.
Meanwhile, football coach Dan Hawkins said there is an ongoing quarterback battle between junior-to-be Cody Haw- kins and sophomore-to-be Tyler Hansen.
“They’re both playing great, they really are,” Hawkins said.
