BOULDER, Colo.—The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says a horse is expected to fully recover after being rescued from a 7-foot-deep well.
The sheriff’s office says the Arabian gelding fell through a 3-inch-thick cement cover into the well Sunday in the 6900 block of South Boulder Road. The animal suffered minor injuries.
Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District and animal control crews worked with veterinarians and bystanders to rescue the 11-year-old horse. They used ropes and farm equipment to lift the animal to safety.
