ARVADA, Colo.—One man is dead and his wife has been injured in an overnight house fire in the Denver suburb of Arvada.
The blaze was reported at about midnight Thursday in the 14000 block of West 70th Drive. Firefighters found the home engulfed in flames.
A woman inside the home escaped through a second-story window. Arvada Fire Department spokesman Scott Pribble says the woman was taken to St. Anthony’s Central Hospital with fire-related injuries.
Her condition is unknown.
Fire crews found a man’s body after several hours. Arvada Police Department spokeswoman Susan Medina says the unstable nature of the home after the blaze forced crews to use extra caution.
No names have been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
