The mystery donor who stunned colleges across the country with anonymous donations totaling nearly $70 million in recent weeks has struck again — this time in Michigan.
Michigan State University announced Thursday that it received a $10 million cash gift from an anonymous donor. The only string attached is that $7 million must be used for student financial aid and scholarships. At least a dozen universities received large donations in recent weeks. All came through a third-party representative who would not reveal the identity of the donor. All the colleges so far seem to share one common thread — they are led by women.
