University of Colorado law school professor Philip Weiser has been appointed a deputy assistant attorney general in the U.S. Justice Department’s antitrust division.
Before joining the law school and CU’s Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program in 1999, Weiser was senior counselor to Joel Klein, attorney general in charge of the antitrust division.
Weiser will oversee international, policy and appellate matters in the antitrust division. He will join the Justice Department in July.
