GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—A motor home stolen from Glenwood Springs during Easter weekend has been found more than 800 miles away in Minnesota.

Glenwood Springs police Chief Terry Wilson says Minneapolis-area authorities contacted the department on Tuesday to say they had found the 38-foot, 1997 Fleetwood Bounder recreational vehicle.

Wilson says the vehicle had been abandoned.

Eighty-one-year-old Ed West says police told him his RV appeared to be in good shape. He plans to travel to Minnesota to recover the vehicle.

West says he awoke Easter Sunday to find the motor home wasn’t where he had parked it. Police believe it was stolen the night before.

Minneapolis police planned to search the vehicle for evidence that might identify the thief.

Police have no suspects.
