DENVER—The Jefferson County sheriff’s office is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a Littleton apartment.
Authorities say they plan to question a man who lived in the apartment where the body was found Friday afternoon. No names or cause of death have not been released.
Officers responded after the man’s uncle called authorities with concerns about the man’s well-being.
The sheriff’s office says the man didn’t answer the door, but officers heard movement inside and entered with a key from the apartment office. They found the body “lying just inside the doorway.”
The man came out of a back room and asked officers for medical attention. Authorities say he appeared uninjured but was taken to a hospital.
Authorities say the man told them he and the woman were friends.
