NEW ORLEANS—James Posey has returned to Game 3 of the Hornets’ first-round playoff game against the Denver Nuggets after leaving in the first quarter with a sprained knee.
The forward had scored 10 points during a 13-2 run on Saturday when he began limping and checked out of the game.
He returned late in the second quarter, hitting two free throws to give the Hornets a 50-47 lead just before halftime.
The Hornets needed to win Game 3 to avoid falling behind 3-0 in the series.
