As if the opportunity to learn from a cadre of the region’s top experts, demonstrations of the latest gear and book signing by noted authors were not enough, the annual Blue Quill Angler Fly Fishing Extravaganza also offers free food. Joking aside, the May 9 event will feature John Gierach’s signing of his book “Fool’s Paradise,” now available in paperback from Simon & Schuster. The book is a classic of Gierach’s delectable wit, the blend of philosophy and angling wisdom that has made him America’s best-selling angling writer.
