LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska health officials are warning doctors to be on alert for possible cases of swine flu.

The state Department of Health and Human Services says there’s been no reported cases in Nebraska so far. But, doctors are asked to collect samples from patients who have high fever, cough or sore throat and send them for testing.

Federal health officials said Sunday that at least 20 cases of swine flu have been reported in New York, Ohio, Kansas, Texas and California. Patients have ranged in age from 9 to over 50. At least two were hospitalized. All recovered or are recovering.
