OMAHA, Neb.—Zach Miller of the University of Nebraska at Omaha has been selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

Miller played quarterback for the Division II Mavericks, but he’s projected as a tight end in the pros. Miller was the 180th pick overall.

Miller was All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association second-team quarterback last season after leading UNO to a 7-4 record. His draft stock rose when he ran a 4.53-second 40-yard dash for pro scouts.

Miller is the first UNO player drafted since the San Diego Chargers took tight end Ryan Krause in the sixth round in 2004.
