OMAHA, Neb.—The Detroit Lions have selected Nebraska offensive lineman Lydon Murtha in the seventh round of the NFL draft.

Murtha was the third Nebraska player drafted Sunday, following linebacker Cody Glenn and offensive lineman Matt Slauson.

Murtha went to the Lions as the 228th pick overall.

Murtha missed four games his junior season with a toe injury and four more games his senior season because of injuries to a knee, shoulder and foot.

Murtha at tackle and Slauson at guard formed an impressive right side of the offensive line.
