ESTES PARK — Emergency workers rescued a woman Sunday morning who had fallen into a crevice on Old Man Mountain near Estes Park and spent eight hours there.
The woman, who is in her early 20s, was with a friend when she fell into the the fissure, said Larimer County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Eloise Campanella.
She was taken to Estes Park Medical Center.
“She was really stuck in there,” Campanella said.
The woman’s friend reported the accident at about 12:45 a.m. Rescue workers suspect the woman fell while she was walking on slippery rocks, she added.
